These cassettes are non-contaminating and non-deforming, and can withstand a large range of temperatures in order to be compatible with a variety of environments. Certain cassettes are designed for both manual and robotic handling, allowing greater ease of use with any lab setup, and fully conductive stainless steel models make them as effective in the semiconductor manufacturing process as plastic cassettes.
