RNF32 (RING finger protein 32), also known as HSD15 or FKSG33, is a 362 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that contains one IQ domain and two RING-type zinc fingers. Highly expressed in testis with lower expression levels in ovary tissue, RNF32 is thought to play a role in spermatogenesis, specifically contributing to the growth and maturation of round spermatids. Six isoforms of RNF32 exist due to alternative splicing events.

Descrizione: DZIP1 (DAZ interacting protein 1) is also known as DZIP or DZIP2 and is a 867 amino acid protein which is expressed as three isoforms, designated DZIPb, DZIPt1 and DZIPt2. DZIP1 is localized to testis, oocytes, ovary and fetal brain, as well as in embryonic stem cells and germ cells. In testis, DZIP1 is localized to the nucleus and also shows some cytoplasmic distribution in spermatogonia. DZIP1 belongs to the C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, and, characteristc of the C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, DZIP1 contains one C2H2-type zinc-finger region through which it is thought to interact with DAZ, an interaction that promotes spermiogenesis. DZIP1 expression is not found in those afflicted with Sertoli cell-only syndrome (characterized by the absence of germ cells in the testis), suggesting that the lack of DZIP1 may be involved in the pathogenesis of Sertoli cell-only syndrome-induced male sterility.

Descrizione: Midline-2 is a 715 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene MID2. Midline-2 belongs to the TRIM/RBCC family and contains two B box-type zinc fingers, one B30.2/SPRY domain, one COS domain, one fibronectin type-III domain and one RING-type zinc finger. Midline-2 is a cytoplasmic protein found as a homodimer or heterodimer with Midline-1. It also interacts with IGBP1 (Lymphocyte signaling protein A4). Dimerization is mediated by the tripartite motif (RBCC; RING- and B box-type zinc fingers and coiled coil domains) and microtubule association is dependent on the C-terminal B30.2 domain. Descrizione: RORET, also known as RING finger protein 15 (RNF15) or zinc finger protein RoRet, is a 465 amino acid member of the TRIM family, also known as the RING-B-box coiled-coil (RBCC) family. Members of the RBCC family have an N-terminal RING finger, followed by one or two zinc-binding domains (B-box domains), a leucine coiled-coil region and a variable C-terminal domain. Found in all eukaryotes, members of the RBCC family typically function within a larger protein complex and possess ubiquitin-protein isopeptide ligase activity.The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The function of this protein has not been identified.
