LILRB2 is receptor for class I MHC antigens. LILRB2 recognizes a broad spectrum of HLA-A, HLA-B, HLA-C and HLA-G alleles. LILRB2 competes with CD8A for binding to class I MHC antigens. LILRB2 / CD85d inhibits FCGR1A-mediated phosphorylation of cellular proteins and mobilization of intracellular calcium ions.

Descrizione: Aldh5A1 Antibody: Aldh5A1 is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily, a group of NAD(P)(+)-dependent enzymes that catalyze the oxidation of a wide spectrum of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes. Aldehyde dehydrogenase enzymes are thought to play a major role in the detoxification of aldehydes generated by alcohol metabolism and lipid peroxidation. Aldh5A1 is a mitochondrial NAD(+)-dependent succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase. A deficiency of this enzyme, known as 4-hydroxybutyricaciduria, results in a disorder of the neurotransmitter 4-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Symptoms usually include static encephalopathy, associated with developmental delays, hypotonia, ataxia, speech defects, and seizures. At least two isoforms of Aldh5A1 are known to exist.

Descrizione: Proteinase K is a highly active stable endopeptidase with a broad spectrum of action was isolated by E. Merk's Darmstadt Biochemical Research Department in 1970 from a culture filtrate of the fungus, Tritirachium album Limber. This fungus is able to grow on Keratin (e.g., wool, horn particles) as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen. The isolated protease was, therefore, given the K designation.
Proteinase K is a stable and highly reactive serine protease. Evidence from crystal and molecular structure studies indicates the enzyme belongs to the subtilisin family with an active-site catalytic triad (Asp39-His69-Ser224). It is stable in a broad range of environments: pH, buffer salts, detergents (SDS), and temperature. In the presence of 0,1 to 0,5% SDS, proteinase K retains activity and will digest a variety of proteins and nucleases in DNA preparations without compromising the integrity of the isolated DNA.

Descrizione: Aldh3A1 Antibody: Aldh3A1 is a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily, a group of NAD(P)(+)-dependent enzymes that catalyze the oxidation of a wide spectrum of aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes. Aldh3A1 is highly expressed in stomach and even more strongly in cornea, representing between 5 to 50% of the water soluble protein fraction in mammalian corneas. It is thought that Aldh3A1 acts to protect the cornea from UV-induced oxidative stress by not only detoxification of reactive aldehydes by also through the direct absorbtion of UV energy. However, corneas from Aldh3A1-null mice are indistinguishable from those from wild-type mice; mice lacking both Aldh3A1 and Aldh1A1 showed increased cataract formation following UVB exposure, suggesting that Aldh1A1 may be able to compensate for the loss of Aldh3A1.
