Fluorescence antifade mounting media and CoverGrip™ coverslip sealant, EverBrite™

Descrizione: EverBrite™ mounting media are anti-fade mountants for preserving fluorescence during microscopy. EverBrite™ mounting media prevent rapid photobleaching of fluorescein, rhodamine, and cyanine based dyes and are optimally formulated for use with Biotum’s CF™ dye conjugates. Unlike Vectashield® EverBrite™ mounting media is compatible with Cy® dyes such as Cy®2, Cy®3 and Cy®5. EverBrite™ mounting medium is a wet-set medium while EverBrite™ hardset mounting medium cures overnight to form a hard permanent seal with the coverslip, eliminating the need to seal coverslip edges with nail polish or other sealants. Descrizione: Rab proteins, a family of Ras-related small GTP-binding proteins, play a key role in regulating intracellular vesicle trafficking (1?). Rab GDP dissociation inhibitor (Rab GDI or GDI2) forms a soluble complex with Rab proteins and thereby prevents the exchange of GDP for GTP (1?). In mammals, there exist two major isoforms, Rab GDI alpha (also known as XAP-4) and Rab GDI beta (1,4). While the mammalian Rab GDI beta-genes are ubiquitously expressed, the Rab GDI ?genes are predominantly brain-specific (1). Since it is expressed predominantly in neural and sensory tissues, Rab GDI a may serve a specific function in neural signal transmission (5). The gene sequences for the Rab GDI proteins are extremely conserved in evolution, with substantial homology preserved across three eukaryotic kingdoms (5).

Antibody F(ab)₂ fragmentation kits

Descrizione: The F(ab)₂ Fragmentation kits are designed for the generation and isolation of F(ab)₂ fragments from IgG molecules. The kit utilises Immobilised Pepsin resin. Pepsin is a proteolytic enzyme that is routinely used for the generation of F(ab)₂ fragments from immunoglobulin G (IgG). One or more of the disulfide bonds that join the heavy chains in the hinge region are preserved, so the two Fab regions of the antibody remain joined together, yielding a divalent molecule (containing two antibody binding sites), hence the designation F(ab)₂. The light chains remain intact and attached to the heavy chain, whereas the Fc fragment is digested into small peptides. The Immobilised Pepsin offers the distinct advantage of eliminating enzyme contamination of the F(ab)₂ fragments.
