Descrizione: Interleukin-36 gamma (IL-36 gamma ) is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family that includes three closely related genes, IL-36 alpha, beta , and gamma , formerly known as IL-1F6, F8, and F9 respectively. IL-36 alpha has been detected in both neuronal and synovial tissue, whereas IL-36 beta and IL-36 gamma are expressed in both cutaneous and mucosal epithelial cells, including the respiratory tract. IL-36 beta and IL-36 gamma stimulate proliferation, maturation and/or cytokine expression by innate immune cells (such as keratinocytes and dendritic cells), and adaptive immune cells (neutrophils and T-cells) in both humans and mice. The activity of IL-36 alpha is mediated by interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2/IL1R-rp2), and is specifically inhibited by interleukin 1 family, member 5 (IL1F5/IL-1 delta). IL-36 gamma plays an important role in communicating the cell death to surrounding cells.

Descrizione: Tumour necrosis factor (TNF, cachexin or cachectin and formerly known as tumour necrosis factor-alpha) is a cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and is a member of a group of cytokines that stimulate the acute phase reaction. MultimericTNF-alpha™ is a high activity construct in which two trimeric TNF-alpha ligands are artificially linked via the collagen domain of ACRP30. The receptor TNF-R1 is activated by both the membrane-bound and soluble trimeric forms of TNF-alpha, whereas the receptor TNF-R2 only responds to the membrane-bound form of TNF-alpha (TNF-alpha (human) (multimeric) (rec. ) (Prod. No. AG-40B-0019). Since the MultimericTNF-alpha™ mimics the membrane-bound form (forms oligomers higher than trimer), it is the only TNF-alpha protein that can activate the TNF-R2. For TNF-R1 activation, either "normal" TNF-alpha or MultimericTNF-alpha™ can be used.

Descrizione: Insulin-growth factor-like gene family is a new family of proteins consisting of four proteins in humans (IGFL1 to 4) and one in mice (mIGFL). mIGFL is expressed in normal skin in mice and further upregulated during inflammation responses in skin or after skin wounding. In human only IGFL1 expression is increased in psoriatic skin samples. mIGFL and human IGFL1 and 3 interact with specificity and high affinity to a novel receptor named IGF-like family receptor 1 (formerly TMEM-149). Analysis of the amino acid sequence of IGFLR1 indicated that this receptor is likely a novel member of the TNF-R family. IGFLR1 is expressed most abundantly on mouse T cells, suggesting that mIGFL and IGFL1 produced in the skin may potentially exert regulatory functions on T cell responses.

This unique KNM-ER 406, Omo L. 7a-125 replica is supplemented by having it displayed on a pedestal that contains a relief map of the geographical area where the skull specimen was found. This KNM-ER 406, Omo L. 7a-125 skull model is a high-quality casting of a reconstruction of the Kalvarium skull (KMN-ER 406) with a partial mandible (Omo L. 7a-125). The Kalvarium skull is approximately 1,7 million years old and was discovered at Lake Rudolph (now called Lake Turkana) in 1970. The partial mandible comes from a different dig but is clearly from the same species. The classification of the species that this skull comes from has not yet been indisputably clarified.
