Fornitore: Bioss
Codice articolo fornitore: BS-0161R-FITC
Codice articolo locale: BOSSBS-0161R-FITC
Descrizione: Plays a role in the regulation of the translocation of GLUT4 to the cell surface in adipocytes and skeletal muscle cells in response to insulin, probably by regulating RAB31 activity, and thereby contributes to the regulation of insulin-dependent glucose uptake. Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells. Necessary for the circadian oscillation of the clock genes ARNTL/BMAL1, PER1, PER2 and NR1D1 in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) of the brain and in liver and of the genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism in the liver.

Descrizione: In human liver cytosolic fractions, four forms of biliverdin reductase have been identified, including two biliverdin-IX Beta reductases and two biliverdin-IX Alpha reductases, designated isozymes I and II and isozymes III and IV, respectively. Biliverdin reductase A (BLVRA), also designated biliverdin-IX Alpha-reductase, belongs to the GFO/iIDH/MocA family and the biliverdin reductase subfamily. The gene that encodes this cytoplasmic protein maps to chromosome 7p14-cen. BLVRA reduces biliverdin IX (the methene bridge of the open tetrapyrrole) to bilirubin with the concomitant oxidation of an NADH or NADPH cofactor (bilirubin + NADP+ = biliverdin + NADPH). BLVRA is expressed primarily in liver.

Descrizione: Nocturnin is a 431 amino acid circadian deadenylase protein that is expressed in a broad range of tissues with greatest abundance in the liver, kidney and testis. Nocturnin plays a role in circadian regulation as well as diet-induced obesity. The mRNA abundance of Nocturnin exhibits circadian rhythmicity, peaking after dusk in photoreceptors, spleen, heart, kidney and liver. Nocturnin is thought to be responisble for turning off genes that are involved in circadian regulation. In Xenopus retinal photoreceptor cells, the rhythmic regulation of Nocturnin is thought to be controlled by phosphorylated CREB. Mice lacking Nocturnin remain lean on high fat diets with a reduction in visceral fat, which suggests that this protein may also be responsible for lipid metabolism and fat storage.

Descrizione: CBG is a monomeric enzyme involved in the absorption and metabolism of flavonoid glucosides. CBG is found predominately in the liver, but is also located in tissues such as spleen, small intestine and kidney. Through its catalytic activity, CBG is able to hydrolyze a variety of glycosides including phytoestrogens, cyanogens, and flavonols. Although its catalytic activity extends to many dietary flavonoids, CBG has increased specificity for hydrophobic aglycones such as beta-D-glucoside and beta-D-galactoside. Hydrolysis is inhibited by sodium taurocholate and glucosyl-sphingosine, both of which regulate CBG enzymatic activity. Deficiencies in CBG have been implicated in Gaucher?s disease, a lysosomal storage disease that causes a build up of fatty material in the spleen, liver, lung and kidneys.

Descrizione: Central enzyme in the extracellular metabolism of plasma lipoproteins. synthesised mainly in the liver and secreted into plasma where it converts cholesterol and phosphatidylcholines (lecithins) to cholesteryl esters and lysophosphatidylcholines on the surface of high and low density lipoproteins (HDLs and LDLs). The cholesterol ester is then transported back to the liver. Has a preference for plasma 16:0-18:2 or 18:O-18:2 phosphatidylcholines. Also produced in the brain by primary astrocytes, and esterifies free cholesterol on nascent APOE-containing lipoproteins secreted from glia and influences cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) APOE- and APOA1 levels. Together with APOE and the cholesterol transporter ABCA1, plays a key role in the maturation of glial-derived, nascent lipoproteins. Required for remodelling high-density lipoprotein particles into their spherical forms.

Descrizione: g-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) acts as a glutathionase and catalyzes the transfer of the glutamyl moiety of Glutathione to a variety of amino acids and dipeptide acceptors. This enzyme is located on the outer surface of the cell membrane and is widely distributed in mammalian tissues involved in absorption and secretion. In humans, hepatic GGT activity is elevated in some liver diseases. GGT1 is released into the bloodstream after liver damage and an elevated level of the enzyme may be a useful early sign of hepatocellular carcinoma. GGT5 converts Leukotriene C4 to Leukotriene D4; it does not, however, convert synthetic substrates that are commonly used to assay GGT. In human serum and tissues there is a marked heterogeneity in GGT, but this heterogeneity can be attributed to different glycosylation of the same peptide rather than to the products of different genes.
