Piperacillin sodium salt, white powder

Descrizione: Piperacillin is a semisynthetic, broad-spectrum ureidopenicillin antibiotic. It is derived from ampicillin. Piperacillin inhibits the last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to certain penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which results in cell lysis. Cell lysis is mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes. Piperacillin may interfere with autolysin inhibitors.
It has been used in pharmacokinetic studies in order to optimize antimicrobial therapy in patients with sepsis. It is used to study piperacillin hypersensitivity reactions and to study multidrug-resistant organisms.

Descrizione: MFSD2A Antibody: Multidrug transporters, such as MFSD2A, are membrane proteins that expel a wide spectrum of cytotoxic compounds from the cell and render cells resistant to multiple drugs. Major Facilitator Superfamily (MFS) members are capable of transporting various substrates such as sugars, polyols, drugs, neurotransmitters, amino acids, peptides, and inorganic anions, although most members are substrate-specific. MFSD2A is a novel lung cancer tumor suppressor gene that regulates cell cycle progression and matrix attachment and has recently been described as the human receptor for syncytin-2, a retrovirus-derived protein mediating fusion of placental trophoblasts. MFSD2A is expressed in many tissues and is highly induced in liver and brown adipose tissue (BAT) during fasting. The activation of the betaAR signaling pathway plays a major role in the induction of MFSD2A expression during adaptive thermogenesis.

Descrizione: Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI 6.0) subfamilies. Many studies have shown the usefulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis. KRTL/KRTH is a broad spectrum anti pan-cytokeratin antibody cocktail, which differentiates epithelial tumors from non-epithelial tumors e.g. squamous vs. adenocarcinoma of the lung, liver carcinoma, breast cancer, and esophageal cancer. It has been used to characterize the source of various neoplasms and to study the distribution of cytokeratin containing cells in epithelia during normal development and during the development of epithelial neoplasms. This antibody stains cytokeratins present in normal and abnormal human tissues and has shown high sensitivity in the recognition of epithelial cells and carcinomas.
