Anti-PUMA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Descrizione: PUMA Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes. A novel p53 inducible pro-apoptotic gene was identified recently and designated PUMA (for p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis) and bbc3 (for Bcl-2 binding component 3) in human and mouse. PUMA/bbc3 is one of the pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members including Bax and Noxa, which are also transcriptional targets of p53. The PUMA gene encodes two BH3 domain-containing proteins termed PUMA-alpha and PUMA-beta. PUMA proteins bind Bcl-2, localize to the mitochondria, and induce cytochrome c release and apoptosis in response to p53. PUMA may be a direct mediator of p53-induced apoptosis.

Descrizione: Human Kallikrein 11 (KLK11) is a member of tissue kallikrein family which are extracellular serine proteases consisting of 15 members. Two isoforms of KLK11 are differentially expressed. Isoform 1 is predominantly expressed in brain and isoform 2 is preferentially expressed in prostate. Isoform 1 consists of a signal peptide,a short pro peptide and the mature chain.Isoform 2 contains an extra 32 amino acid N terminal to full-length isoform 1.KLK11 is a novel marker for ovarian and prostate cancer carcinomas. KLK11 can be activated by thermolysin and is active against a thioester substrate.

Descrizione: Bax Antibody: Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. The Bcl-2 family of proteins is comprised of critical regulators of apoptosis that can be divided into two classes: those that inhibit apoptosis and those that promote cell death. Bax, a pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family member, is a cytosolic protein that changes conformation and translocates to the mitochondria following apoptotic stimuli. It is thought to share significant functional homology with Bak, another pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family member, as disruption of bax or bak has little effect on cell death, but mice lacking both genes display multiple developmental defects and cells lacking both show decreased apoptotic capability.

rSRL-LecBeads [for GlcNAcβ(1-2)Man, Galβ(1-3)GalNAc]

Descrizione: The rSRL is an Escherichia coli recombinant of carbohydrate-binding protein (Lectin) derived from Sclerotium rolfsii. This lectin preferably binds to [GlcNAcβ(1-2)Man, Galβ(1-3)GalNAc] glycan epitopes by its two distinct carbohydrate-binding sites.
The LecBeads is a lectin-immobilized agarose which is capable of capturing glycoproteins via binding to its specific epitope(s), and it is prepared by a covalent coupling method between lectin and agarose.
The Lectin-catch method using LecBeads (as shown in Application tab) is available for selective separation of glycoconjugates (glycoproteins, glycolipids, and so on). This rSRL-LecBeads (1 ml gel) shows a binding capacity of about 7.5 mg or more agalacto human Transferrin [agalacto hTF] through its binding to a terminal [GlcNAcβ(1-2)Man] glycan epitope on agalacto hTF.

Descrizione: EMAP II (Endothelial monocyte-activating polypeptide 2) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine and participant in apoptotic cell death. It is synthesised as a precursor (pro-EMAP II), lacking a secretion signal peptide. In apoptotic cells, the ~34 kDa pro-form of EMAP II is cleaved by Caspase-7 (and Caspase-3 to a lesser extent) at aspartate 144 to its mature, ~20 kDa form. The mature form of EMAP II has been found to have many different functions. In vivo, it recruits leukocytes to the site of apoptotic cell death. In vitro it has been shown to activate endothelial cells (and the release of von Willebrand factor, E-selectin and P-selectin), neutrophils, and induces macrophage expression of TNFa and TF (tissue factor). EMAP II is also a possible biomarker for brain injury, having been found to be differentially expressed in two types: traumatic injury shows an increase and ischemic injury shows a decrease in EMAP II expression (Dave, et al, 2014).

Studies in mouse show that Tpit protein is present only in the two pituitary pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC)-expressing lineages, the corticotrophs and melanotrophs. Mutations in the human ortholog were found in patients with isolated deficiency of pituitary POMC-derived ACTH, suggesting an essential role for this gene in differentiation of the pituitary POMC lineage.

Human recombinant IL23R (from cells)

Descrizione: Interleukin 23 receptor (IL23R) is a type I cytokine receptor for IL23. IL23 receptor complex is comprised of two subunits, the IL12R beta 1 subunit, which is shared with several cytokines, and a subunit that is unique to IL-23. IL23, after binding to IL23R, activates memory T cells and mediates pro-inflammatory activities in part by the production of IL17 through activation of TH17 lymphocytes. IL23R is expressed on T cells, NK cells, dendritic cells, and macrophages. In fact, polymorphisms of the IL23R gene were reported to be associated with susceptibility to inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, Graves's ophtalmopathy and inflammatory bowel diseases. The IL23R is known to be critically involved in the carcinogenesis of different malignant tumour.
